Two men who were staying in the UAE illegally were arrested for embezzlement in Ajman on Wednesday.
The African nationals would lure their victims by claiming they had equipment that could double cash notes.
An undercover police team contacted the suspected persons and made a deal with the duo to double their money. 
According to Major Mohammad Yafour Al Ghafli, deputy director of the Criminal Investigations Department at Ajman Police, the police discovered black papers and equipment which the duo used to counterfeit notes.
Police seized the equipment and arrested the duo. Investigations revealed that they are staying illegally in UAE.
The case was submitted to the public prosecution.
Al Ghafli urged the public to report all suspicious persons or activities to the police regarding embezzlement or counterfeiting money.
