Canadian company is scouting for location and is considering both Dubai and Abu Dhabi
According to the public prosecution records, the case dates back to December 18 last year when the Dubai Police operations room was alerted about the incident at a hotel.
The woman, a 48-year-old Moroccan, was drunk when she threatened the officers and behaved aggressively towards them.
She spat on one of them and also pulled the badge of the other. The case was registered at the Bur Dubai police station.
The two police officers got medical reports showing they were each left with knee pain because of the assault.
One of the police officers said that he was on the job at 1.15 am when he received a report about a incident at a hotel. "When I reported to the scene with my colleague, I saw the defendant who was then drunk. When I asked her what the issue was, she screamed and assaulted me."
The officer recounted to the prosecution investigator how the woman kicked him in his right knee, slapped him on the face, neck and other parts of his body. She also verbally abused and threatened him.
A police sergeant said: "The accused was drunk. She claimed she is Saudi but would not show us her ID. She spat in my face and pulled my badge and dropped it on the floor."
The officer added that the defendant kicked him in his right knee and insulted him and the police station director.
The trial has been adjourned to April 22.
