This is the second flight to depart from Ramon airport, highlighting Emirates' efforts to provide advanced medical care to injured Palestinians
dubai — The Dubai Public Prosecution has referred a gang of four Asians to the Court of First Instance on the charge of acting as a drug ring, smuggling heroin capsules by concealing them in the gut on different occasions, and handing them over to drug traders in exchange of money.
The accused were arrested in September after a trap was laid by the police’s anti-narcotic teams after the second accused, identified as 18-year-old F.K.A., arrived in the country with 143 capsules containing heroin in his gut. The other three accused received him and took him to the house of the prime accused, identified as 20-year-old S.Kh.A. in Al Ain to extract the capsules.
After obtaining a search warrant, the police frisked the accused and searched the house, which turned out to be a den for sheltering drug smugglers. Police seized 362 heroin capsules weighing 2.750kg from the house.
On interrogation, the prime accused confessed that he had received the second accused who smuggled the contraband from his home country into the UAE several times in coordination with drug traders living abroad.
He also admitted to the involvement of the third accused, S.A.S, 22, who is a chauffeur by profession. His main job was to receive and transport the second accused as well as the smugglers from and to the airport. The fourth accused, G.A.A., 37, was a watchman in a private company and lived in the flat of S.Kh.A. in Al Ain and was fully aware of the crimes the suspects were planning and carrying out.
