Liverpool left some key players out of their starting line-up for Sunday's 3-1 win at Fulham
The 39-year-old Indian man will be deported after serving his prison term as per the court order.
He earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges of molesting the girl and trespassing into another person’s property.
The girl’s 37-year-old Indian mother said during investigation that her 11-year-old daughter who was sleeping with her woke her up around 1.20am and she looked terrified.
The mother learnt that someone was in the same room and had touched her daughter. He ran away from the flat when the girl saw him. The mother locked the bedroom door and a few minutes later, she realised that someone was trying to open the door. She screamed and phoned the security of the building which is located in Al Rafaa.
The securityman found the flat door open and nobody in the living room. The mother walked out of the bedroom later.
The schoolgirl said that she had seen the man who had touched her once earlier when she was in the lift. That night in May, she saw him standing by her bedside and touching her when she woke up. He ran away and then stood at the room’s door and looked back at her again before rushing out.
A police officer said that after inspecting the complainant’s flat, they learnt that the defendant must have entered using a key. There were no signs of a break-in and the flat not in disarray.
The verdict is subject to appeal within 15 days at the Court of Appeal.
