Cop gets two-year jail for molesting woman
The victim tried to call the police for help from her mobile phone, after which the accused pushed her out of his car and fled.
A police corporal, who sexually assaulted a Filipina in an attempt to rape her inside his car, was on Monday sentenced to two years in jail by the Dubai Criminal Court.
The 29-year-old victim said she got acquainted with the accused, S.B., 26 on a social networking website.
The pair communicated online for a week, after which they agreed to meet at a trade centre, according to the prosecution investigation.
After the victim entered his car, he made sexual advances at her. The victim tried to call the police for help from her mobile phone, after which the accused pushed her out of his car and fled. The suspect denied all charges.
