Abu Dhabi Police airlift six people to hospitals

Air ambulance teams shifted three UAE nationals who were suffering from serious medical conditions, including a 70-year-old man and a 19-year-old man.

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing recently carried out six humanitarian missions airlifting six people, including five UAE nationals, to hospitals in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Air ambulance teams shifted three UAE nationals who were suffering from serious medical conditions, including a 70-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, from Delma Island Hospital to Al Mafraq and Zayed Medical City hospitals. The unit also transferred an 8-year-old child from Zayed Medical City Hospital to Shaikh Khalifa Medical City.

The air ambulance teams airlifted people injured in three separate road accidents. Two UAE nationals and an Asian were airlifted to Al Tawam Hospital to receive medical care. In the first case, a 29-year-old Emirati was airlifted as he was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Al Khazna area; the second accident saw a 24-year-old involved in a motorbike accident in Nahel area, while in the third accident, a Pakistani man, aged 29, who received serious injuries in a car accident in Al Faqa’ area was airlifted to Al Tawam Hospital.
