They lived in the same villa, court records showed. The two wives, both Iranians, were charged with assaulting each other during a fight over the parking space at the villa.
The 25-year-old woman threatened to set the car of the other on fire if she did not take it out of the parking space. The husband, a businessman hailing from Comoros Islands, was accused of physically assaulting and insulting his second wife.
The case dates back to May 11 and was registered at Al Qusais police station.
His first wife recounted during the public prosecution investigation that she was in her section of the villa when the other wife came around 6.30pm and threatened her. "My son was present when she threatened me."
Her son, a 9-year-old with a Comoros Islands passport, corroborated her statement. "She said she would set our car on fire if my mother did not take it out of the parking. She also told her that she would set the house on fire if she did not leave it."
The ruling can be appealed within 15 days from the issuance date.
