Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a series of protests from Friday
According to Lt Col Ariff Al Kaz, Director of Al Maddena police station, a worker called the operations room notifying the police that he had found his co-worker dead and hanging from the roof of the building.
The police team immediately proceeded to the spot and found the man hanging from a 10th floor apartment. He had used an electricity cord to hang himself.
The police team including forensic, patrol, ambulance, and CID officers collected evidence and launched an investigation, which proved there was no criminal act behind the death of the worker. He had ended his life on his own will.
The deceased, identified as MMA, was working for a contracting company which was carrying out the construction of the building where he was found dead.
Police interrogated a number of the workers and the management of the company, who all said that the deceased was a normal person and did not show any abnormalities in his character. No one, however, knew why he committed suicide.
The management said his salary had been paid on time and there were no financial issues related to the company.
