According to the police, the suspects, whose names and nationalities were not disclosed, were arrested late on Friday night.

The two victims, one hailing from neighbouring Al Buraimi city and the other from Al Mahdha in Oman, were shot dead in the Jimi area of Al Ain.

The police identified the two victims as S.M.B., aged 31 and S.A.A., 43, driving a Qatari-registered vehicle when the assailant deliberately crashed their vehicle into the victims’ car and started shooting at the two Omanis in their vehicle. The suspects were arrested after a massive hunt which also lead to the confiscation of two vehicles the shooters used in the incident.
