William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana excel

ABU DHABI — Sajjad Saeed and Faisal Ashraf stroked breezy half centuries and shared a 127-run stand for the fourth wicket to steer William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana to a massive 156-run win over Daman in the United Bank Limited Twenty20 tournament at the Zayed Stadium.

Saeed hit 11 fours and four sixes in a 33-ball 79 and Ashraf blasted a 39-ball 86 studded with 11 hits to the fence and a couple clearing the field for their team to post 247 for six. Daman in reply were bowled out for 91 with the captain Zayed Mustafa, Owais Aftab, Mohammed Nadeem and Haroon Iftikhar claiming two wickets apiece.
