ABU DHABI — Rahul Amin took five wickets to send Adnoc Distribution crashing to their first defeat in the Time Electro Contracting division-two cricket in Abu Dhabi over the weekend.

Amin returned with excellent figures of 5-0-23-5 to dismiss the strong batting of Adnoc for 130 and NPCC knocked off the winning runs with nine deliveries to spare for the loss of four wickets.

Mohammed Jameel was the second bowler to claim five wickets as West Life eased to a 90-run win over Abu Dhabi Gentlemen. Jameel took five for 18 from his five overs to skittle out the Gentlemen for 80 in reply to West Life’s 170 for six. He also chipped in with a useful 43 after opening the inning.

Suleman Khan stroked the only century in the fifth week of the competition to lead Al Marjan to a 28-run victory. The opener hit 110 for his side to post 248 for six against Serco, who in reply were restricted to 220 for eight.
