Imran Khan said on Tuesday that Pakistan need to be more aggressive in T20 but Misbah-ul-Haq said they have to mix aggression with discipline to counter England in the shorter version of the game.

“We have shown improvement in the final one-dayer. We failed to win that match but we batted well and it was a tight match.

“Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq put up a good partnership and I also felt good after my innings.

“Our confidence level is up and since we generally do well in T20 format, I hope it will be an interesting series.

“And keeping in mind the World Twenty20 which will be held this year, it’s very important for us to make a comeback,” Misbah said.

Younis Khan and Azhar have flown back to Pakistan and uncapped left-handed opener Owais Zia was expected to reach Dubai on Wednesday evening.

“We have got no fitness worries as Imran Farhat is the only player who is not feeling well. I don’t see many changes in the side except one or two. There might be some changes in batting order keeping in mind the match situation.”

England will defend the title they won in the West Indies in 2010 when Sri Lanka host the fourth edition of the World Twenty20.

“I think we need to learn from England on how they revived their fortunes in ODIs, and I am confident that my boys can do that,” added Misbah.

“I don’t think we were dispirited, because the team wants a win desperately and that’s why we were like that. Everybody was trying to give one hundred per cent and when it slips out of your hand it seems you are disjointed.

“I have 100 per cent confidence in this team and I hope they can bounce back.”
