DUBAI — Emal Red defeated Dubal Yellow by four wickets in the Dubai Aluminium Company Ltd (Dubal) 6th Ramadan Tournament, a press release said.
Batting first, Dubal Yellow scored 156 for 7 in 20 overs. Tariqe made 51 while Sharique (37) and Gillroy (17) chipped in with significant contributions. Hamid bagged two wickets for Emal.
In reply, Emal made 160 for 6 in 17.1 overs. Abdul Rehman top scored with 40 in 20 balls, while Hafeez was unbeaten on 30. Man of the Match was awarded to Abdul Rehman.
In the second late night encounter Afridi CC defeated Carfare by 52 runs. Batting first Afridi CC scored 211 for 6 in 20 overs. Man of the match Shazad was at his brilliant best scoring 111 runs in 64 balls that included 12 boundaries and five sixes. Irfan chipped in with 23.
Chasing 212, Carfare managed only 159 for 9 in 20 overs. Kaleem made 33, while Rohit scored 28 and Kashif made 22runs.
Shazad and Waqas shared two wickets each. This tournament is organised by the Dubal Cricket Club.
