Rain washes out Knight Riders-Super Kings match

CAPE TOWN - For the second time in the Indian Premier League (IPL), rain played spoilsport and washed out the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings without a ball being bowled at the Newlands here on Saturday.



It had been raining heavily since morning here it wasn't possible for the officials to make a second inspection of the ground. They waited till 7.15 p.m (local time), some 45 minutes before the cut-off time, before abandoning the match. Knight Riders and Super Kings got one point each.
