NMC will lock horns with Nissan Al Masaood in the first semifinal on Sunday. William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana will take on Phoenix Medicine in the other semifinal, later in the night.
Put into bat, Nissan Al Masaood made 144 for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Mohd. Usman scored 40 from 46 balls with two boundaries, while Khuram Hameed scored a quickfire 33 from just 15 balls with the help of three sixes and two boundaries.
Mohd. Rameez picked up four wickets for 18, while Avdoot Amonkar took two for three runs.
Mohd. Rafiq snapped up four for 27 as Yogi Group were bowled out for 130 in 19.5 overs. Arshad Iqbal took two for 23, while Sultan Ahmed took two for 25.
Shaiman Butt scored 35 from 29 balls with four boundaries.
In the other game, UBL, batting first, made 128 for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Shakeel Raja picked up four for 28, while Imran Khan took two for 29. Opener Nasir Siddiqui scored 37 from 42 balls with three boundaries and a six. Phoenix Medicine got home in 18.2 overs, losing six wickets. Tariq Shah made an unbeaten 35 from 38 balls with three boundaries. Faisal Butt took two for 21, while Shahzad Khan took two for 31.
