Muzammil blasted 11 sixes and eight fours in a top score of 118 for his team to post 226 for four and then took two wickets for six runs from 2.1 overs while Rehman Gul bagged four for 28 to skittle out Takreer for 138 on the ADCC grounds.

Thrifty batting first lost opener Syed Nawaz (5) but Nazar Hussain and Muzammil came together with a 179-run stand for the second wicket to set the foundation for a winning score.

Raziq Khan slammed a quick-fire 88 to star in Nissan Al Masaood’s 33-run victory over Perth Salt Valley.

The opener’s 44-ball knock was studded with 10 hits to the fence and five clearing the grounds as the automobile dealers put up 206 for seven. Perth were dismissed for 172 with Mohammed Usman returning with three for 14 from three overs.

The UAE Exchange Centre, the sponsor’s team, amassed the highest total of the four quarter-finals with all their batsmen chipping in with useful contributions.

Adgas in reply were well placed at 85 for one. Nadeem Rahim (64) and Imran Ali (35) were scoring at more than 10 runs per over until the partnership ended at 81.

Joining them in the quarter-final lineup were Abu Dhabi Airport Technology, who clinched a two-wicket win over Abu Dhabi Airport Services in a low-scoring game.
