Five-time champions hold their nerve to claim victory by nine runs in the final over at Chandigarh
Marsh Insco defeated Gargash Insurance Service by seven wickets while AON Middle East comfortably kept up their dominance over Greenshiled Insurance Brokers, winning the match by nine wickets.
RSA Insurance continued their good run in the tournament, beating Omega Insurance by a massive margin of 136 to book their place in the semifinals.
Batting first, RSA Insurance piled up 235 for three with Alan Daniels (79), Yash (59 not out) and Nadim (35) doing bulk of the scoring. Omega Insurance, in reply, were bowled out for 99. Ajit, Nadim, Manik and Haris took two wickets each to unsettle the Omega Insurance innings.
Marsh Insco bowled out Gargash Insurance Service for 103 runs with Aditya and Chetan doing most of the damage by picking up three wickets each. They achieved the modest victory target in 15.4 overs with Anjum Gupta (57) leading the batting charge.
The match between AON Middle East and Greenshiled Insurance Brokers turned out to be a tame affair with the former romping home with 61 balls to spare.
Kabeer remained not out 54 as AON Middle East overhauled their opponents’ score with ease.
Nasco M.E. Insurance Brokers will take on RSA Insurance while Marsh Insco will meet AON Middle East in the semifinals on Friday. The final is slated for Saturday.
