GHICC win Ajman T20 title
DUBAI - The Ajman Cricket Council Invitation Cup T/20 final was played between GHICC and Age Steel CC at ACC Grounds on Friday, a press release said.
GHICC wonthe toss and elected to bat. Their opening batsmen Amjad Gujjarand Asif Iqbal gave them very goodstart as the two batsmen shared 100 runs in just 10 overs. Asif made 74 (11x4 and 1x6) — an innings that gave him the man-of-the-match award.
GHICC gave Age Steel a target of 222 but their openers Manal and Shahbaz got out cheaply as wickets fell in regular intervals. Brilliant openingspells from Luqman and Adnan reduced Age Steel to 55/7 at one stage and they were eventually all out for 106 in 16.2 overs, losingthe final by a huge margin of 115 runs.
