Daredevils trounce Kings XI in rain-curtailed match

CAPE TOWN, South Africa - Delhi Daredevils notched their first win in the second edition of the Indian Premier League by defeating Kings XI Punjab after rain reduced the match to a mere formality.

Virendra Sehwag hit the winning runs in the fifth over by sending Piyush Chawla’s tame delivery over the ropes at long on. He was the top scorer for the Daredevils scoring 38 0ff 16 balls. His innings comprised three sixes and four fours. Gautam Gambhir remained not out on 15.
