Danube Ramadan indoor cricket enters final phase

B Division

Kakez (52) beat Café Xhale (49), Fujitech Warriors (77) beat Royal Stags (36)

In the B division semi-finals Kakez kept their cool to restrict Café Exhale to 49 runs and win the match by 3 runs. Batting 1st Kakez got of to a reasonable start but the 2nd pair scored (-11) giving Café Exhale the upper hand, but the 3rd pair scored 35 runs to get Kakez back in the game and then went on to score 52 in the allotted 16 overs.

Café Xhale got of to a slow start gathered momentum with the second pair but lost their way in the 12th over losing 3 wickets.

Needing 23 runs in the last 4 overs Café Xhale could score only 17 runs losing the match by 3 runs. Fujitech Warriors ran over Royal stags beating them in all departments of the game. Fujitech Warriors got of to a good start and went on to score 77 in their allotted 16 overs.

Janak 23 top scored for Fujitech Warriors. Royal Stags were no match for Fujitech Warriors and the only reasonable contribution came from the 3rd pair who scored 28 runs in their allotted 4 overs.

C Division

Zika Electronics (112) beat The Expendables (52), Dulsco (88) beat Danube Jebel Ali (12). The expendables were no match for Zika Electronics who mauled them in all departments to comfortably secure a place in the finals of the C division, getting of to a good start Zika Electronics went on to score 112 in their allotted 16 overs, Waqas 30 top scored for Zika Electronics.

The Expendables could not even get close to the target and could score only 52 in their allotted 16 overs.

In the other semi-final Dulsco got the better of Danube Jebel Ali giving the no chance whatsoever and went on to secure the second berth for the finals.

Getting of to a bad start of (-16) in the 1st 4 overs Dulsco went on to score 88 in their allotted 16 overs with the 2nd pair scoring 43 runs in their 4 overs. Mushtaq 25 top scored for Dulsco.

In reply Danube J A lost the match in the 1st 4 overs scoring (-35) and could not recover from that setback and went on to score only 12 runs in their allotted 16 overs.

D Division

Dubai Refreshments (108) beat Indoceylon ‘A’ (102), DBMSC Steel (117) beat Samurai’s 8 (22). Dubai Refreshments batted 1st and went on to score 108 in their allotted 16 overs. It looked as if the games was over for Indoceylon ‘A’ as they scored 35 in 12 overs but the game caught every ones attention in the last over as there was a steady flow of wide’s and no ball’s getting 30runs in the last overs which brought Indoceylon ‘A’ close to victory.

DBMSC Steel thrashed Samurai’s 8 to enter the finals in a totally one sided game.

Scoring 117 in their allotted 16 overs Samurai’s 8 did not have any chance against DBMSC Steel and scored a meager 22 runs in 16 overs.

The Premier Division semi-finals will be held on Thursday and the Grand Danube Ramadan Indoor Cricket League will be held on Saturday, September 24 at 8.30pm.
