Put in to bat, Danube were given a great start by their first pair of Ojas and Vikrant who put on 23 runs in the allotted three overs. But Super 8 pulled things back by some tight bowling and fielding to restrict the second pair of Saqib and Sachin to just three runs in their three overs of batting.

Danube’s third pair of Arif and Faiyyaz had to do the consolidation job and managed 12 runs. At that stage Danube were 38 runs after nine overs. But the last pair of Danube Farhan Butt and Sayed Farhan batted brilliantly and put on 19 runs in their three overs thus taking Danube to a respectable total of 57 runs in their full quota of 12 overs.

DFS Super 8 confidently started the run chase with openers Sameer and Krishna putting on 15 runs in three overs. The second pair of Rohan and Vinay put on 11 runs while the third pair of Naeemullah-Waqas could manage only nine runs due to some tight fielding and good bowling by Danube. The last pair of Mohsin and Titty required 23 runs to go past the Danube total of 57 runs but Danube bowlers restricted them to just 12 runs thus winning the title by 11 runs.

Vikrant Shetty was declared the man-of-the finals for his all-round performance and captain Saqib Nazir won the man-of-the-series award.

Anis Sajan, managing director of Danube, was delighted with the win and praised his team for winning the title.
