Australia win toss and bat against Sri Lanka

Australia won the toss and chose to bat in the opening Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka at the Sydney Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

Queensland fast bowler Ben Cutting was making his T20 international debut, while batsman Kushal Perera was handed his first T20 start for Sri Lanka.

Angelo Mathews is captaining Sri Lanka, taking over from Mahela Jayawardene, who remains in the team as a batsman.
