Al Faraa Whites Crush Al Jabri CC in Jinnah Cup

AL AIN - Al Faraa Whites peaked at the right time to display their champion skills as they crushed Al Jabri CC by a huge 124-run margin to emerge as winners of 14th Jinnah Cup in the ‘A’ Division final played in Al Ain over the week-end, a press release said.

Put in to bat, Al Faraa Whites’ opener Ashfaq Farooq blasted a match winning 106 of 46 balls, first sharing a 138-run opening stand with skipper Chetan Kansara (85, 44 balls) followed by another century stand for the second wicket with Mohammad Kamran (76, 30 balls) as Al Faraa Whites posted a massive 319 for three in 22 overs.

The massive run-chase was not an easy task for Al Jabri CC who could barely manage 195 for six with Umer Butt hitting a vain 72 as Al Jabri CC lost by 124 runs.

Incidentally Al Faraa Whites had beaten Capital CC by identical margin in the semifinal last week.
