Royal Challengers have lost their last five matches while the Knight Riders will aim to bounce back after a home loss to RR
Despite going through a lot of such tough situations, Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is still the man to reckon with.
Not for any reason, the recently appointed Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi insisted that Akhtar should be part of the team when they take on big teams like Australia and England. Afridi believed that the presence of Akhtar in the team certainly made a huge difference.
Indeed it would. He might be a veteran but his searing pace still can scare the best batsmen in the world. That’s the reason he would be the easy choice to spearhead the pace attack for Pakistan who have a very busy summer ahead.
He might have been under scrutiny several times for his attitude and arrogance, but the other side of Akhtar shows what a wonderful human being he is.
Amidst his hectic schedule Akhtar arrived in Dubai to participate in the Celebrity Cricket Cup which is being organised by Cynosure for a cause. “I am indeed delighted to be part of this celebrity match. And with Salman Khan playing as our opponent it is certainly going to be interesting,” Akhtar said.
Akhtar is part of the Pakistan Celebrity team who are playing Indian Celebrity team at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Though not a serious kind of a match, Akhtar felt that it would be a different feeling. “Playing against India is a different atmosphere; so it should be fun,” he added.
