Travellers scrambled to rebook flights and markets reeled after US President Donald Trump imposed sweeping restrictions on travel from Europe, hitting battered airlines and heightening global alarm over the coronavirus.

Emirates airlines and flydubai suspended all flights to Italy. Emirates airline will also be implementing thermal screening measures for all passengers travelling on US flights departing from Dubai International Airport, effective March 12. Flights to Fort Lauderdale in Florida has been suspended until March 31.
Passengers from WHO-mandated high-risk countries will undergo thermal screening and nasal swab tests at Dubai Airports. Furthermore, the UAE has called on its citizens to refrain from travelling to India at present time, said the UAE Embassy in New Delhi.
