Covid-19 recoveries are on the rise in the UAE. The country recorded its highest-ever single-day recoveries for the fourth day straight on Saturday, January 23.
As many as 4,051 patients were declared Covid-free in the last 24 hours after treatment at UAE health facilities.
Over the last three days, the country recorded 3,945 (January 22); 3,901 (January 21); and 3,746 (January 20) recoveries. Prior to this, the highest-ever recoveries were recorded on January 7, when 3,658 people became Covid-free.
The number of recoveries is also higher than diagnosed cases in the last four days.
Overall, the UAE has seen 247,318 Covid patients recover.
When compared to the total number of diagnosed cases of 274,376, the UAE has a recovery rate of over 90 per cent. This is one of the best in the world and much higher than the global average of about 71 per cent.
The UAE also has one of the lowest Covid-19 death rates in the world at below 0.3 per cent — against a global rate of over 2 per cent.
Since the pandemic started, the UAE has seen 783 deaths.
