UAE: Covid test must for unvaccinated workers in 5 sectors

Employees in five sectors across the UAE will need to take a Covid PCR test every 14 days.

The five sectors include: Hotels, restaurants, transportation, and health, as well as social and personal activities such as laundries, beauty salons, and hairdressers.

Those who are vaccinated against Covid are exempted.


The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has called on establishments, companies, and institutions operating in the five economic sectors to get their workers to take the test.

The new rule is effective from March 28.
