Daily Covid-19 cases in the UAE dipped to below 3,000 for the first time on Sunday, January 31, since the mark was first crossed on January 12.

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention on Sunday reported 2,948 cases of the coronavirus, along with 4,189 recoveries.
The 3,000-mark was first crossed on January 12, when 3,243 cases were reported.
Since then, the number of daily cases had remained above 3,000.
The number of cases inched towards the 4,000 mark on three occasions in the last few days. The country recorded 3,962 cases on January 29; 3,966 on January 28; and 3,939 on January 27.
Overall, the UAE has seen 303,609 diagnosed cases of Covid-19. Of these, 276,958 have recovered, with a recovery rate of over 91 per cent — which is much higher than the global average.
