Ajman government employees will need to take a Covid-19 PCR tests every seven days at their own expense, it was announced on Tuesday. Those who have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine are exempted from the requirement.

Those not eligible to take the vaccine will need to take the PCR test every seven days, but its cost will be borne by their employees.
The announcement comes a day after similar measures were announced for employees of the UAE ministries and federal government departments.
The Ajman Human Resources Department said the updated rules are effective from February 2.
The requirement is also applicable for unvaccinated employees of outsourced and public services companies contracted by Ajman government departments.
Consultants and experts who are required to be present at government offices must have a negative Covid result issued within three prior to the meeting.
