A small-time Indian film actor, Solanki Diwakar, who appeared in movies like 'Dream Girl' and 'Sonchiriya', was spotted selling fruits on the streets of Delhi after being jobless for two months.

Diwakar is one of many people who earned a living by either doing small roles in films or working as support staff in the industry, until they lost work due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Diwakar used to sell fruits before he got a chance to work in films. But after losing job, he found it difficult to make ends meet and decided to return to selling fruits. In a video on The Economic Times, Diwakar is seen selling fruits and vegetables on his tricycle.

Hailing from a small town in Agra, he had moved to Delhi in 1995. Before appearing in films, he used to work as a domestic help and later took to selling fruits. "With the lockdown being extended I have to take care of my needs. I have to pay my rent and also need money to meet the expenses of my family. So I have turned back to selling fruits," he was quoted as saying in ScoopWhoop.
