Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has received his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, according to state news agency WAM.

The CP praised the efforts of frontliners, who he said were achieving great success in battling the pandemic.


He called on all members of the public to take the jab in support of the nation's efforts to protect its people and return to a state of normalcy.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was the first UAE Ruler to take the vaccine on November 3.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, became the second Ruler to do so earlier this week on January 10.
