UAE has vaccinated 86,560 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The country's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 5.5million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 56.15.
At least 600 jabs are administered daily at a drive-thru facility in Abu Dhabi, boosting the UAE’s nationwide vaccination drive.
The country targets to vaccinate more than 50 per cent of the population by the end of the first quarter, as announced on January 5.
Currently, four Covid-19 vaccines are available in the UAE: Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sputnik V, and AstraZeneca.
