Covid vaccine UAE: 42,650 doses administered in 24 hours

Dubai - The UAE has been witnessing a gradual decline in the number of Covid-19 infections in the past few weeks.

The UAE has administered 42,650 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in the past 24 hours.

The country's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 6.36 million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 64.38.

A 103-year-old woman became the oldest to receive her first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

J Kameshwari became the oldest woman in India to have received the Covid-19 vaccine as per available data, said Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road.

Closer to home, the local human resources authority in Abu Dhabi released a fresh set of guidelines on Tuesday.

According to the new directives, fully vaccinated employees of government entities in the Capital will now need to take a Covid-19 PCR test every month at their own expense to enter their workplaces.
