On Thursday, the UAE approved its third Covid vaccine for emergency use. Russia's Sputnik vaccine got the nod from authorities, as part of comprehensive efforts to ensure residents' safety.

Inmates and detainees in different parts of the country have started taking the Covid-19 jab, as the police continue their efforts as part of the national vaccination drive.

Meanwhile, prominent figure Pujya Brahmavihari Swami is the latest faith leader to take the Covid-19 jab in the UAE. He urged all members of the community to join UAE drive to create a safer world.
