Starting February 1, all drivers of trucks and vehicles transporting goods into the Capital must show a negative PCR test result received in the last seven days, according to an advisory issued on Monday.
Vaccinated drivers will be offered a free PCR test every 7 days.
The updated entry rules were announced by Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee in line with precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the emirate.
The committee renewed its call to the public to continue to cooperate and adhere to precautionary and preventive measures. "Violators may be liable for legal fines and penalties."
