Coronavirus: UAE reports 302 new Covid-19 cases, 424 recoveries, 2 deaths
Dubai - More than 55,000 new Covid-19 tests were carried out in the country, the health ministry added.

Thanks to mass testing, contact-tracing, isolation of patients and awareness drives, the UAE's Covid-19 mortality rate of 0.6 per cent is considerably lower than the global average which is around 4.3 per cent.
The authorities have once again urged residents to practice social distancing and avoid gatherings, especially during the four-day Eid Al Adha holiday, which begins today. Hosting "public and private gatherings" will invite a fine of Dh10,000 for those organising such gatherings, and a fine of Dh5,000 for each of the participants attending them.
Mosques across the country will not host Eid prayers and the faithful have been asked to offer them at home. The Eid break is from Thursday, July 30, to Sunday, August 2.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 screening centres operated by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) will remain open during the four-day break. On the day of Eid (July 31) and the next two days, the centres will operate from 10am to 6pm. The emergency departments at all its hospitals would remain open for 24 hours. Its clinics will remain closed.
