The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Friday reported 2,128 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 2,262 recoveries and 6 deaths.
The new cases were detected through 236,782 additional tests.
More than 36.4 million Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the UAE so far.
The total number of cases in UAE as on March 26 are 450,765, while total recoveries stand at 434,035. The death toll rises to 1,472.
Airport authorities in India have been directed to put passengers on the 'no-fly' list if they do not follow Covid-19 guidelines.
"We can win the fight against Covid-19 but the negligence of some people is creating problems. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been instructed to crack the whip," said Indian Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Friday.
Meanwhile, Umm Al Quwain on Thursday issued new rules for public safety in Ramadan amid the Covid pandemic.
Under the new guidelines, home visits and family gatherings are banned, with families encouraged to gather online instead. They have also been advised not to exchange or distribute meals between themselves.
