Coronavirus: UAE reports 1,027 Covid-19 cases, 1,253 recoveries, 3 deaths

Dubai - More than 20.3 million Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the UAE so far.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Monday reported 1,027 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,253 recoveries.

Three deaths were also reported.


As many as new 100,946 Covid-19 tests were carried out, taking the total number of tests carried out in the country to nearly 20 million so far.

With the UAE Government spelling out guidelines for New Year celebrations and setting limits on the number of people gathering, residents have pledged to stick to social distancing measures and celebrate safely.

According to the government restrictions, private family gatherings and events are allowed for the New Year, but only a maximum of 30 guests are allowed. All participants must wear face masks and keep social distancing.

Meanwhile, doctors reiterated that taking the Covid-19 vaccine would be the way forward for residents, adding that the demand for vaccination in the UAE is promising.
