The UAE has recorded its highest-ever single-day Covid-19 recoveries on Wednesday, January 20. As many as 3,746 Covid-infected patients recovered from the coronavirus after treatment at UAE health facilities.
The previous highest single-day recoveries was reported in the new year as well. On January 7, the country recorded 3,658 recoveries.
Overall, the UAE has registered 235,421 recoveries from a diagnosed 263,729 cases. This means the UAE has a recovery rate of nearly 90 per cent — one of the best in the world and much higher than the global average. In contrast, the global recovery rate is 71.77 per cent.
The UAE also has one of the lowest Covid-19 death rates in the world at 0.28 per cent, against a global rate of 2.14 per cent. Since the pandemic started, 762 deaths have been recorded in the country.
