The UAE embassy in Rome has urged all citizens to postpone their plans to the country for their own protection due to the increasing numbers of persons infected with the Covid-19 coronavirus in Italy.

On its official Twitter account, the embassy urged all citizens who are in Italy to follow the health instructions issued by authorities, and to avoid visiting areas and locations where cases were detected.

"In emergencies, please call the embassy in Rome on (00390636306100) or the consulate in Milan on (00393356584064) or the contact center of the ministry on (0097180044444)," the embassy said, asking all citizens to register themselves in the Tawajudi service.
