A teacher at Hartland International School received a heart-warming surprise from his grade six pupils when they drove by his Dubai apartment as part of a birthday surprise.

In a video posted by the school's principal on Twitter, Daniel Slack can be seen clearly overwhelmed with joy as the parade of a dozen cars, driven by the youngsters' parents, rolls by.
In every car, a student can be seen, either standing through the sunroof of the car or waving through an open window, and holding up a sign with an alphabet to spell out the phrase 'Happy Birthday'.
Many of the cars, decorated with colourful balloons, slowed down just enough for the students - wearing the mandatory masks - to hand over a small card or gift too.
This was the first time they were meeting their teacher since schools closed in March as part of precautionary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19.
"Great teachers are so loved and valued," posted principal Fiona Cottam in appreciation.
The drive-by celebration has become a popular trend in recent weeks, especially in the United States, for its novelty and easy compliance with social distancing measures.
According to the latest announcement by the Ministry of Education, the new academic year will begin on August 30.
