Students and staff have to take mandatory Covid-19 tests while returning to educational institutes, which have opened after months of closure amid the pandemic. This is among the many precautionary measures listed by the local authorities to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
UAE University, the country's flagship varsity, has collaborated with Tamouh Healthcare to conduct regular Covid-19 tests for all students and school staff.
Abdullah Alrashidi, project manager, Tamouh Healthcare, said that it is mandatory for students returning to the campus to undergo the Covid test.
"In preparation for the 2020-21 academic year, we are ready to conduct testing for all the teaching staff, employees and students, to ensure they are all free of infection," Alrashidi pointed out.

Dr Naima Ibrahim Aldarmaki, Dean of Student Life, UAE University, underlined everyone needs to follow the regulations as the university follows a hybrid system of learning, which means some of the students will return to the classes.
"The main role of students is to be committed to their studies. A large number of students are still engaged in online learning. The hybrid learning system requires some students to be physically present on the campus, and adhere to health protocols for their safety," Dr Naima said.
The university recently celebrated return of students to the campus with 'UAEU Sparkles' fireworks night.
