With the UAE's national vaccination drive in full swing, prominent figure Pujya Brahmavihari Swami is the latest faith leader to take the Covid-19 jab.
The leader of the Hindu community and Head of BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi chose to vaccinate in support of frontline workers and the leadership’s efforts to protect the nation.
"We would like to thank the frontline workers and also the backline workers like scientists, researchers and advisors for making these vaccines possible," said Pujya.
"Now, we all must do our part in supporting the government's efforts in trying to keep everyone safe. Taking these vaccines which are available and approved by the local government authorities is an essential step in keeping everyone safe and restoring normalcy," he added.
