Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has received a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
"Corona vaccination is our way to return to normal life," Sheikh Abdullah said in a post shared on his official Twitter account.

In the photo, a healthcare worker is seen injecting the vaccine into the arm of the minister.
Last month, the UAE granted approval for the emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine that is being trialled in the country. The vaccine, developed by China's Sinopharm, is now in the third and final stage of clinical trials and has so far been found safe and effective, according to authorities. Over 31,000 volunteers had received the jab as part of the programme.
With the emergency approval, the vaccine is now being administered to frontline workers and professionals who are at highest risk of contracting the virus. A number of top officials have also taken it.
Earlier this week, the UAE approved the phase III clinical trials of Russia's Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V. Details these are expected to be released soon.
