Abu Dhabi residents with chronic illnesses can have their medical care and treatment funded for the next four months, as long as they have a Daman health insurance card.
This follows a new medical support initiative launched on Friday by The Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an in collaboration with Daman Insurance.
The initiative, launched as part of 'Together We Are Good' programme by Ma'an, is for residents who have Daman insurance and who have been affected by the impacted of Covid-19 pandemic.

"Ma'an will be providing funding for medical consultation and essential medication supplies for four months for those with chronic illnesses who have been impacted by the current health and economic situation," Abu Dhabi Government Media Office said. "Treatments will be covered for all hospital and private clinic visits for patients who suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, or other lung diseases. Abu Dhabi residents who are eligible must have a valid basic insurance card with Daman, but have already exceeded their outpatient pharmaceutical coverage limit."
Last week, Ma'an started its food support scheme by providing more than 500 food baskets to citizens and residents who are financially affected due to the present economic situation.
The 'Together We Are Good' programme is the first project of Ma'an's Social Fund that allows community contributions to help tackle social challenges.
Ma'an launched a new toll-free helpline 800-3088 and a microsite togetherwearegood.ae for those in need of relief.
