Dubai’s free Covid-19 vaccination drive is seeing hundreds of residents getting the Pfizer-BioNTech jab. Royals and top officials are among those who have received their first dose recently.

There are some categories of residents who are not eligible to get the jab. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) took to Twitter on Sunday to specify these categories:

>> Nursing mothers.

>> Pregnant women.

>> Those aged under 18 years.

>> People with immunodeficiency diseases.

>> Those who are allergic to any vaccines, food or medicine.

>> Those who carry self-injectable adrenaline.

>> Women planning to get pregnant in the next three months.

Dubai’s free vaccine is among the two vaccination drives that are happening in the UAE. Health centres across the country are administering the Chinese Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine to residents.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention had recently released a set of answers to frequently-asked questions (FAQ) about the vaccine. Khaleej Times split the FAQs into two parts. Read the first part here and the second here.
