As the mercury rises in UAE, swimming pools were allowed to reopen in Dubai along with resumption of water sports on Friday.
Swimming pools and public aquatic venues (indoor and outdoors) at hotels, health clubs, gyms, recreation clubs now able to operate - with strict coronavirus safety guidelines, including social distancing and regular disinfecting of facility and items within.
Social distancing of 2m between people will apply and the capacity for all in-resort pools will remain limited to one person per four square metres.
However, certain activities and services will remain suspended, such as social gatherings, parties and events. Massage services, spa, sauna, jacuzzi and pool bars are also excluded from the resumption order.

Among the city's popular aquatic venues, Atlantis The Palm will be reopening all its pools from Friday, June 12 onwards. Barasti, Sofitel Dubai The Palm and some other venues in city will also be reopening their pool starting Friday.
