The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, made a phone call on Wednesday to India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
During the call, according to Saudi Gazette they discussed the work of the G20 being presided over by the Kingdom this year and the efforts made within its meetings to address the Covid-19 pandemic and soften its impact.
King Salman stressed that the G20 countries are continuing to strive to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on people and the global economy.
For his part, Modi hailed Saudi Arabia's distinct leadership of the group's meetings, expressing his confidence that the world would benefit from the outcomes.
The two leaders also reviewed aspects of existing cooperation between the two countries and ways of developing them in various fields.
