Entry and exit to the area will be restricted during the programme, which will start with Block 16.

The third phase of the sanitisation programme and Covid-19 testing in the Musaffah area of Abu Dhabi commences on Wednesday, May 27 with Block 16.

The programme is being implemented by the Department of Health, in partnership with relevant entities.

This comes after the success of the first two phases of the campaign, which included 6 blocks in Musaffah. Residents welcomed the procedures, and expressed their appreciation for the efforts being made to protect their health and safety.

Daily commercial activities will continue as usual. Entry and exit will be restricted while the area is being sanitised.

No legal action will be taken against those violating visa regulations.

Protecting the community's safety and curbing the spread of coronavirus is the top priority.

Those living in the targeted block are requested to cooperate and follow instructions in order for the sanitisation and testing programme to achieve its objectives.

Sanitisation and testing will take place in a methodical manner - one block at a time - and continue until all tests are complete.

Intensive awareness programmes will be offered in targeted languages, in order to increase awareness of preventative and precautionary measures.

The campaign will ensure the provision of healthcare services to all sections of the community, and regulate and manage Covid-19 testing to ensure the health and safety of those living in Musaffah.

Free transportation to and from testing centres will be provided to streamline testing processes.??

The campaign will ensure the provision of healthcare services to all sections of the community, and comes as part of the National Screening Programme, which aims to provide Covid-19 testing for the largest possible number of Abu Dhabi residents.

The National Screening Programme has been launched jointly by the Department of Health; Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre; Abu Dhabi Police; Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities & Transport; and the Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship.

The programme aims to conduct 335,000 coronavirus tests for workers living in Musaffah. Free transportation to and from testing centres will be provided to streamline the testing processes, and to ensure workers' health and safety.
