An Indian businessman on Wednesday became a millionaire while four others will drive away with a luxury vehicle each after their winning ticket numbers were drawn in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions held at Dubai Duty Free Head Office in Ramool.
Rajan Kurian, a 43-year-old Indian national based in Kerala, is the latest $1 million winner in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion in Series 330 with ticket number 2852, which he bought online.
Mr Kurian, who owns a construction business in Kerala, started buying tickets for the Dubai Duty Free promotions in October 2019 and was ecstatic upon learning that he had become a millionaire.  
"Many people are suffering from a lot of problems during this period, especially with the current pandemic, and I want to offer some assistance. Thank you, Dubai Duty Free; with my winnings, I can make this happen," added Mr Kurian.

Wednesday's draw was conducted following strict social-distancing measures by Dubai Duty Free's Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi, and Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice-President - Corporate Services.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, four other winners were announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion to win a luxury vehicle each.
Faraz Khalid, a Kuwaiti national, won a BMW MB50i xDrive (Adventurine Red) in Series 1751 with ticket number 0123. Mr. Khalid is unreachable at the moment, but will surely be delighted when he learns of the good news.
Bock Fabrice, a 51-year-old Swiss national based in Geneva, won a Range Rover Sport HSE 5.5 522 HP (Fuji White) in Series 1752 with ticket number 0607.
A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free promotions for five years, Mr Fabrice is an asset manager for a financial company and had purchased two tickets for Series 1752.
He said: "I can't believe I won! After so many attempts, I finally won something! Thank you very much, Dubai Duty Free!"
Meanwhile, Omar Aboushady, a 39-year-old Egyptian national based in Dubai, won an Indian Chief Darkhorse motorbike in Series 408 with ticket number 0623 that he bought online.
A resident of Dubai for one year and 9 months, Mr Aboushady works for an air-conditioning service and had bought online a total of five tickets for this series.
He said: "Thank so much Dubai Duty Free. This is a really very good news during this hard time and appreciate that I won."
Finally, Syed Hydrose Abdulla, a 57-year-old Indian national from Dubai, won a BMW RI250 RS (Austin Yellow) motorbike in Series 409 with ticket number 0687, which he also bought online.
A long-time resident of Dubai for 30 years, Mr Abdulla works as PRO for Coca-Cola Arena.
Commenting on his win, Mr Abdulla said: "Well done to Dubai Duty Free for making many people happy, including myself, with your incredible promotions."
